CSAN Athletes Achieve Excellent Results at the International Shooting Competition in Sarajevo

Athletes from the National Army Sports Club (CSAN) returned with outstanding results from the International Air Gun Shooting Competition, held on 3–4 April 2026 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The event gathered shooters from several European countries, providing a highly competitive environment. Moldovan athletes delivered strong performances, securing medals in both individual and team rankings.

🥇 Gold for the Men’s Pistol Team

In the Men’s Air Pistol event, the team composed of:

  • A. Alferin
  • N. Popușoi
  • M. Marian

won 1st place in the team classification, bringing home the competition cup and three medals, under the guidance of the national team coach Svetlana Mocrieva.

🥇 Double Gold for Nikita Popușoi

Athlete Nikita Popușoi delivered an outstanding performance, winning:

  • Gold medal in the overall Men’s Air Pistol ranking
  • Gold medal in the Junior category

In the second competition start, Popușoi continued his strong performance and secured a bronze medal in the overall ranking.

🥈 Silver Medal for Junior Girls

Ana Marian won the silver medal in the junior girls category, demonstrating the promising potential of the next generation of Moldovan shooters.

Strong Final Performance

Another notable result was achieved by Elina Alexandrina Kuznetsov, who reached the final and finished 4th place, narrowly missing the podium after a strong performance.
