Shooting Center of the National Army“.

The Shooting Center of the National Army Club previously The Republican Sports Club DOSAAF was built and established in 1957 at 16 Ion Nistor Street. The club consists of two shooting ranges: a 50-meter range with 8 lanes and a 25-meter range with 5 lanes. Nearby, there are two more shooting ranges of 25 meters and 100 meters. In 1989, a new indoor shooting complex was put into operation, featuring an administrative building and three ranges: 50 meters, 25 meters, and 10 meters. In 2002, the club was reorganized into the Central Sports Club of the National Army. On this range, the first Master of Sport in shooting was Boris S. Dyachenko, who later also served as a coach and contributed to the development of the sport and shooting in the Republic.

Within the Central Sports Club of the Army, a military-sports section was created to promote the image of the National Army in various competitions in Moldova and abroad, in seven sports: biathlon, weightlifting, martial arts, wrestling, kayak-canoe, shooting (air rifle/bullet), and judo.

Around 200 young athletes are trained in the following sports at the CSCA Sports School: shooting (air rifle/bullet), autocross, motocross, biathlon, radio sport, aeromodelling, wrestling, kayak-canoe, weightlifting, team sports, marine polyathlon, and martial arts (source: www.army.md).

The National Army Sports Club, in collaboration with the National Shooting Federation of the Republic of Moldova, based on a cooperation agreement, the club’s dedication to the development of sports, its mission, and the performance athletes within CSCA, has succeeded in recent years in re-equipping and renovating the 10-meter shooting lanes. The installation of internationally homologated electronic targets, as well as the creation of favorable conditions for the development of sports performance, have been key achievements.
