Oleg Moldovan
Coach of National Team of Shooting Federation of the Republic of Moldova.
Oleg Moldovan was born on October 27, 1966 in Chisinau. He graduated secondary school nr. 40 in Chisinau (1983) and then National Institute of Physical Education and Sport (1992).
He began to practice shooting from school and is enrolled in the club “Dinamo” and his first coach is Sergei Murzanov. Since 1981, Gennady Smirneaghin coach oriented him to achieve performance . In the same year he won the silver medal at the USSR Spartachiada students.
It became multiple national champion of Moldova. In 1995, it was ranked No. 2 at the World Cup in Milan. His best result was 581 points out of 600 in the World Cup final in Munich in 2000. By Decree no. 254/4 September 1996, President Mircea Snegur decorated him with the Order of the Republic “sign of high appreciation of the special merits in development of sport and national Olympic movement, the remarkable successes achieved at the XXVI edition of the Summer Olympics in Atlanta “.
Oleg Moldovan attended the Olympic Games in Seoul – 1988 (13th), Atlanta – 1996 (No. 9) and Sydney – 2000 (2nd). In 2000, he won the silver medal in Sydney – 10 meters running target.
